Thistle or Chives

My father wanted me to take a picture of these flowers in the field next to the replica St. James church at Wilson's Point in Miramichi City. He thought they looked like thistle's, which is Scotland's national flower, and was appropriate since the church is of Scottish heritage. They are actually chives but they still made a great subject for a picture. (Miramichi River Valley Region).
